Carita Shari Mottian is a vibrant vocalist with a desire to sing and to share her interpretations and own songs with others. Carita studied music at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal and graduated with a B.A (Music) degree in 2010. She has performed at venues such as Jazzy Rainbow, St Clements Restaurant in Musgrave, The Alliance Francaise in Windermere. She has performed with Dalisu Ndlazi, Ndumiso Ndlovu, Sbongiseni Shongwe, Milton Chissano, Thobelani Ngcebo Mthethwa, Shemual Mahabeer, Dillan Kanny, Eston Naicker and alongside Giselle Turner, among others. Carita’s voice would be described as strong, soulful and soothing. Her influences range from artists such as Carmen Mcrae and Erykah Badu to John Coltrane, Abdullah Ibrahim and Mos Def. Carita's vision is to grow as much as per formatively possible, and to express herself as honestly and as simply as she can.
