Frank Paco

Legendary, Mozambican drummer/percussionist Frank Paco, who is based in Cape Town, heads up a 6-piece band consisting of Muriel Marco on keys and Durban-based musicians Thulile Zama (vocals), Jonathan Judge (saxophone), Milton Chissano (guitar) and Prince Bulo (bass).

Frank Paco brings a selection of his latest compositions that will combine Mozambican and South African influences. Paco brings a varied sound as a result of the array of South African and International artists he has played with throughout the years. People also know him as founder of the group Tucan Tucan.

Hi-lights of Paco's career as a drummer/percussionist include: a performance at the 46664 with Queen, Bono, Peter Gabriel, Jimmy Cliff to name a few on the bill. A performance with smooth jazz America based
British guitarist Ronny Jordan. His work with America based South African guitarist Jonathan Butler. And also his work with the late Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela and Gold Fish to name but a few.
